Yesterday, a British lawmaker was attacked and killed while leaving a meeting with voters in northern England. Police have arrested a suspect.

WHAT HAPPENED?
Jo Cox - a 41-year-old politician, and mother of two young kids - was shot and stabbed multiple times by a man who approached her on the street. He reportedly shouted “Britain first” during the assault. Leading many to think that the motive had to do with next week’s hugely important vote on whether Britain should break up with the EU.

But the ‘baby please don’t go’ side says the UK needs the EU for things like trade and security. It’s looking like the vote will be close, and the campaign has gotten pretty heated recently. Until yesterday.
